Flush the affected area with large amounts of water and obtain medical attention, if it is needed. This product is irritating to the eyes, respiratory system and skin. Inhalation of mist and vapors may irritate the nose, throat, and lungs. This product may cause burns. This product may cause an allergic skin reaction. This product may produce or aggravate asthmatic effects. Material contains a chemical which is a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP), regulated by the United States Clean Air Act. If gas/fume/vapor/dust/mist from the material is inhaled, remove the affected person immediately to fresh air. If irritation persists, get medical attention. 2. Composition/Information on Ingredients This chemical product is a preparation. 3. Hazards Identification 4. First-Aid Measures COMBUSTIBLE OO Owner: Ford Motor Company PRINTED DOCUMENT IS TRANSIENT Application: MATS Ford Proprietary Official Record Material Safety Data Sheet Version Number: 041245 US-US-5 Level: 2 Release Date: 2011-09-19 Page: 2 / FIR No.: 8 Skin Contact: Eye Contact: Ingestion: Notes to a Physician: Extinguishing Media: Specific Hazards: Protection of Firefighters: Get medical attention immediately if the skin become bonded. MOUTH: If lips are accidentally stuck together, apply lots of warm water to the lips and encourage maximum wetting and pressure from saliva inside the mouth. Peel or roll lips apart. Do not try to pull the lips with direct opposing action. It is almost impossible to swallow cyanoacrylate. The adhesive solidifies and adheres in the mouth. Saliva will lift the adhesive in 1/2 to 2 days. In case a lump forms in the mouth, position the patient to prevent ingestion of the lump when it detaches. SKIN ADHESION: First immerse the bonded surfaces in warm soapy water. Peel or roll the surfaces apart with the aid of a blunt edge, eg. a spatula or a teaspoon handle; then remove adhesive from the skin with soap and water. Do not try to pull surfaces apart with a direct opposing action. EYELID TO EYELID OR EYEBALL ADHESION: In the event that eyelids are stuck together or bonded to the eyeball, wash thoroughly with warm water and apply a gauze patch. The eye will open without further action, typically in 1-4 days. There will be no residual damage. Do not try to open the eyes by manipulation. ADHESIVE ON THE EYEBALL: Cyano- acrylate introduced into the eyes will attach itself to the eye protein and will disassociate from it over intermittent periods, generally covering several hours. This will cause periods of weeping until clearance is achieved. During the period of contamination, double vision may be experienced together with a lachrymatory effect, and it is important to understand the cause and realize that disassociation will normally occur within a matter of hours, even with gross contamination. If the material is swallowed, get immediate medical attention or advice -- Do not induce vomiting. BURNS: Acrylates give off heat on solidification. In rare cases a large drop will increase in temperature enough to cause a burn. Burns should be treated normally after the lump of cyanoacrylate is released from the tissue as described above. SURGERY: It should never be necessary to use such a drastic method to separate accidentally bonded skin. Dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide. Irritating and/or toxic fumes and gases may be emitted upon the product's decomposition. Upon decomposition, this product emits carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and/or low molecular weight hydrocarbons. Fire fighters should be equipped with NIOSH-approved, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective clothing. 5.
