Acryl-Red Putty is a single component air dry formula designed to be used for the repair of minor surface imperfections such as scratches, pinholes, and stone chips. The working and dry time make it suitable for small to medium area repairs, for larger areas (use 3M? Super Red Putty PN05099) Features ? Single component ? Air dry chemistry ? Container 14.5 oz. aluminum tube (05098) 21.0 oz. aluminum tube (05966) Base Talc, Acrylic co-polymer, Toluene, Xylene Density 12.00 - 13.00 Lbs./Gal. Color Red Product Uses Repair of minor surface imperfections prior to top coat applications. 3M? Acryl- Red Putty works best when applied over primer or polyester body filler, it may also be applied over clean and sanded painted surfaces. For professional use only. Not intended for retail sale. Performance Properties Air dry formula skins over quickly and may be sanded in 20 minutes when applied in 1/16" thickness or less with ambient temperature conditions of 72?F. 3M? Acryl-Red Putty 05098 ? 05966 Directions for Use 1. Do not apply when ambient temperatures are below 55?F or above 110?F. Use in a well- ventilated area away from sparks or open flame. 2. For best results Apply only over clean sanded primed surfaces. (Use compressed air to remove any dust contamination). 3. Apply using a plastic or metal spreader pressing the putty firmly into the imperfections; keep the application thickness to 1/16" or less. Apply in thin coats instead of one thick application. 4. Allow to dry for 20 minutes at 72?F prior to sanding. Sand (wet or dry) using 3M? abrasives in the following sequence P180, P220, P320. Note: As with any putty, longer drying times will occur with high humidity, thick applications and low temperatures. 5. Re-clean surface prior to priming or top coating. (Follow paint manufacturer?s recommendation for priming and top coating). Applications Minor surface imperfections in properly prepared painted or primed surfaces. Storage and Handling HANDLING Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep container closed when not in use. Avoid breathing of dust created by cutting, sanding, grinding or machining. For industrial or professional use only. Avoid eye contact with dust or airborne particles. STORAGE Product shelf life 36 months from date of manufacture. Store at 72?F for optimal shelf life. - 2 - 3M?
